Dance/Movement Therapy and Music for Breast Cancer Patients
As a cellist, I have witnessed the incredible healing power of art and music. Treating cancer isn't just about medicine; it's a journey of both physical and emotional recovery, encompassing stress, anxiety, sleep issues, eating disorders, and psychological challenges.
Dance therapy, using movement to enhance immunity and awaken the body, mind, and emotion, has played a pivotal role. People connected deeply with the music, finding solace and healing in the ability to move their bodies free of judgement or fear. Through this therapy, individuals find ways to express and release emotional burdens, a unique journey of spontaneity and energy exchange.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Trung tâm Ung thư Vú Hưng Việt for allowing Bui Tuyet Minh and me to share the magic of art, especially dance and music, in the psychological therapy of breast cancer patients. This circle included professors, doctors, nurses, patients, and families. Together, we've forged a path of healing, unity, and community awareness about breast cancer prevention in Vietnam.
