Bryan Charles Wilson

Cellist. Composer. Educator. Author.

Bryan Charles Wilson along with his partner, Bùi Tuyết Minh, a Dance/Movement Therapist, Fulbright alumnus from Sarah Lawrence College, and pioneer of this field in Vietnam, lead restorative workshops for diverse populations across the globe. Minh’s training in Dance/Movement Therapy coupled with Bryan’s ability to improvise and empathize through his cello playing allow for participants to connect to themselves and each other in a profound manner. Together their music and dance has healed and empowered the unison of BodyMindSpirit for a plethora of diverse populations.

Minh and Bryan conducted workshops all over Vietnam, from the jungles of Cát Tiên to the US Embassy in Hanoi as part of a Fulbright Alumni grant. During their time in Vietnam and in the USA, they have worked with pregnant women suffering from depression, breast cancer patients, doctors, and nurses, children with autism and special needs, Vietnamese soldiers of the Vietnam War, elementary school children, college students, seniors and the geriatric population, underserved ethnic minorities, and business professionals.

Playing music for seniors is not just about them sitting there and enjoying it. It's about finding ways to engage and invite them to participate, even when they are in pain, confined to wheelchairs, or reliant on oxygen tanks. It's about creating moments of connection and joy, despite any physical limitations they may face.
